Kava is not considered a drug in the traditional sense, but it is classified as a dietary supplement in many countries, including the United States.

Meaning that it is regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a food rather than a drug.

However, it does contain active compounds called Kavalactones that interact with certain receptors in the brain, such as GABA-A receptors.

This leads to a calming and sedative effect, helping to reduce anxiousness, stress, and promoting relaxation.

It's important to use Kava responsibly and in consultation with a healthcare provider to minimize the risk of potential side effects or interactions with other medications.

Is kava legal?

Yes, kava is legal in the United States.

These compounds can induce mild feelings of euphoria and relaxation.

Some individuals may find themselves drawn to these positive sensations and feel inclined to use Kava regularly to experience them.

Is Kava a hallucinogen?

No, kava is not a hallucinogen. Instead, it promotes relaxation and reduces anxiousness through its sedative effects.

The active compounds in kava, known as kavalactones, interact with the brain's GABA system to create a calming effect without altering perception or causing hallucinations.

With Melo's kava, you can unwind and enjoy pure serenity, free from misconceptions.

Can you drink kava while pregnant/breastfeeding?

It is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women to consume kava.

While the effects of kava on pregnancy and breastfeeding are not well-studied, there are concerns that kava may have negative effects on fetal development and infant health.

Additionally, kava can pass into breast milk and may affect nursing infants. Therefore, it is best to err on the side of caution and avoid consuming kava during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

If you have any concerns or questions, it is recommended to consult with your healthcare provider before consuming kava or any other dietary supplement.

Can you drive after drinking kava?

No, it's not recommended to drive or operate heavy machinery immediately after consuming kava, as it can have sedative effects and may impair your ability to perform tasks that require alertness and coordination.

While the effects of kava can vary depending on the individual and the amount consumed, it is generally recommended to wait several hours after consuming kava before driving or operating heavy machinery.

Our product is crafted using ingredients that comply with FDA regulations. So if you are considering driving we recommend contacting your local testing authority to verify the substances they test for.
